New Jaguar XJ

Jaguar dealers are getting excited about releasing the all new XJ series, due to go on sale from March 2010. Building on the success of the new XK and XF models, the introduction of the all-new XJ is a landmark for the revitalised Jaguar brand. Clearly positioned as the company’s four-door flagship, it extends the appeal of the XJ to a new generation of customers. The sedan is bold and modern looking. Presenting a more striking image than we are used to with Jaguars.
The new XJ will feature a panoramic glass roof, enabling the car to have a lower roofline, while still enhancing the feeling of light and space inside the vehicle.
Standard and longer-wheel based models will be available from launch, with the long wheelbase version offering an extra 125mm of leg room.
The car will be powered by the following engines, depending on marketĀ :
- 3.0-litre 202kW AJ-V6D Gen III diesel with twin sequential turbochargers – 0-100kph in 6.4 secs and 7.0L/100km
- 5.0-litre 283kW AJ-V8 Gen III naturally aspirated direct-injection V8 petrol – 0-100kph in 5.7 secs
- 5.0-litre 346kW AJ-V8 Gen III supercharged V8 direct-injection petrol – 0- 100kph in 5.2 secs
- 5.0-litre 375kW AJ-V8 Gen III supercharged V8 direct-injection petrol – 0- 100kph in 4.9 secs
We wait eagerly to hear which of these power options will be available in Australia.
